Thursday, May 11, 2006 No exciting posts...I hadn't posted in awhile, thinking I will get a few Lifeflight runs under my belt, then tell you about them. So far I have had 3 car wreck's, 1 stroke, 1 cardiac arrest, 1 assault with loss of consciousness, and 1 post surgical hemorrhage. Though now that I tell you about them, I am thankful that I didn't have an exciting time. See, I don't enjoy being the helicopter doc. Some THRIVE on it, I don't. I like the ER, don't get me wrong. Some people think the ER is just so chaotic, how can you POSSIBLY know what is going on, it is too confusing. But for me it is managed chaos. I know exactly what is going on and I love it. But the helicopter is just too much. Landing out in the middle of nowhere sometimes and having no idea what you are getting into. NO thanks! So 6 more shifts and I am done! My husband's baseball team is in the playoffs. The won the state finals last year, so they are the defending champs. Winning this year will be their 6th state title. He loves coaching so much, and is such a good coach as well. It is rare that people find something they enjoy so much AND are good at it. And here's to all you MOM's out there! Since I don't have a mom, I hope all of you have a VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
