Home Sweet Home...

I have a new home...though I am not living there - yet. After Christmas, me and the hubby started looking for a new home. He is already living in WV, and I will be moving back in May/June. So we needed to go ahead and get a place so he could go ahead and live there, and I could have a place to start moving my stuff to. I thought it was going to be a very hard find, to find a nice place. We wanted to rent, as opposed to buy, as we are hoping to move south (to the Carolina's) in a year or two. The housing market is not that great in rural Appalachia, and we did not want to get stuck with a house that we would not be able to sell. But I still had some criteria I wanted for our rental: at least 2 bedrooms, washer and dryer hook-ups, availability of DSL or Cable modem internet.

I was too busy stuck up here in sunny Cleveland to come down for any length of time to look. So I told hubby, do what you can and find us a place. Well, he found a duplex that had 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, washer and dryer, brand new carpeting, fridge, stove, etc. And totally in our price range. I couldn't come down to look at it, was afraid that it would go quickly, so I told him GET IT! I sent the money down and was renting this place sight unseen. Hubby was so worried that he had made a bad decision and was worried what I would think when I finally did get to go see it. IT WAS PERFECT! He did a great job. We have already bought a new microwave and couch (our first purchases as husband and wife) :)

So that is my fun new news. I am moving a little bit of stuff down every time I go visit. In April, I hope to get a moving company to get the big stuff like bed, roll-top desk and the like. Only 4 months left of my residency!
